Two fire engines at fire scene
Photos by Malcolm Roberts

Two fire engines from the Caernarfon fire station were called to a blaze at St Helens Road today.  As most of us were preparing for Christmas, fire fighters risk life and limb controlling a fire at the Old Boat House in St Helens Road. The site is notorious for being used by drug users had 15ft high flames bellowing out as access to the site was hindered by walls and a locked gate.

As we uploaded these photos, it was not clear how the fire was started. If you have any information or have seen unusual activities in the area, then please call the Caernarfon Police station on 01286 673333 (you can call anonymously if you wish).

St Helen's Road was closed off for traffic until the fire was under control.
