Champion 103FM Toast Awards 2007 at Galeri Caernarfon

On July 19th 2007 Champion 103 FM held their first ever Toast Awards in Caernarfon. Over the last few weeks the local radio station has been searching for local hero's in different fields. The event was sponsored by a host of big name businesses including The Wylfa Power Station

Blakemoore, Dafydd Hardy, Barclays, Broker Cymru, Galeri, Deiniol Centre, Hufenfa De Arfon, Gwynedd And Ynys Mon Council's, AAC Waterproofing, Slaters Chevrolet and Vauxhall.

There were ten categories in all plus the overall winner.

A splendid evening was had by all and invited guests enjoyed a lavish spread supplied by Blas ar Fwyd.

Upon arrival the guests and nominees were given a champagne welcome. As the crowd mingled in the bar an announcement led the everyone to the Gala Dinner where the presenters of Champion 103 FM entertained with fun games and prizes.

Owain Llyr and Zowie Williams welcomed the guests to the event.

Special guest stars Rowetta, Tabby, Elin Fflur and Frizbee wowed the audience with a string of songs as Kev Bach and Mair Thomas were main compere for the evening.

Caernarfon Online's very own T Meirion  Hughes was one of the eventual winners (winning the Welsh Language Award) and here he is interviewed on the red carpet.           Whilst Appy of Galeri served champagne to the guests.
