Plas Pawb Officially Opened 29th June 2007
The long awaited dream of Plas Pawb came to being on Friday when the Integrated Centre for the Peblig and Seiont wards was opened by Gwynedd Council Chair Meinir Owen.
Alan Evans the centre's manager was delighted to be finally up and running and look forward to the centre helping people and the community in general. The board's Chairman Councillor Roy Owen had been working behind the scenes with Alan and a list of people too numerous to mention for a number of years.
Caernarfon Online was forefront in showing the development mature from it's humble beginnings and had a large screen presentation on display throughout the day. The Chronicle had also pulled out all the stops by having a four page special edition cover out on the day the centre opened. Both the Chronicle and Caernarfon Online supported the venture fully by once again by putting the community first.
BBC Cymru were also present to record proceedings and a light buffet was served to the 57 guests following the unveiling of the plaque by Councilor Meinir Owen and Kyle Parry who named the centre.
Children for Ysgol Maesincla entertained the guests with Welsh songs whilst a Traditional Harpist played as the guests entered the new building.
Councilllor Roy Owen opened the proceedings and introduced the guests to Gwynedd Council Chair Councillor Meinir Owen.
Mr Huw Vaughn Thomas of the Big Lottery Fund gave a short speech and Maldwyn Roberts of the Maesincla board of governors did the same. This was followed by representatives from the construction team and Alun Ffred Jones AM for Caernarfon.
