Arnold Bohana makes it a double act and snubs local businesses as well!
We have certainly got you all going with Tecwyn Thomas' election paper.
At the start of the week we reported that despite Labour councillor Gerald Parry using a local business to print his election leaflet, Labour candidate Tecwyn Thomas chose to use a printer in RHYL for his papers!
As soon as we ran the article, we were inundated with copies of Arnold Bohana's leaflets. We have received no fewer than 30 leaflets through our letterbox with loads of complaints that he too has chosen to print his papers in Rhyl! The main concern being that councillors should be supporting their own town and this is a blatant snub for local businesses.
One voter (who asked not to be named because of fears of repercussions) told us: "Arnold has shown he has no concern for locals and their businesses, he has chosen to go out of not only the town but the county as well! For someone who is trying to be elected as a GWYNEDD councillor, I find it alarming that he spends his money elsewhere. With people like Arnold about, how would local businesses survive. Caernarfon is on its knees as it is and leading by example by using local a company to make his pamphlets would go some way in repairing some of the damage he has done to himself of going against Caernarfon Town FC".
Earlier this year we reported on Arnold's snub to Caernarfon Town Football club when he chose to speak against them in a council meeting. Click here to view the article. This had already made him public enemy No. 1 and it seems Arnold has a self destruct button.
Paper against Election rules?
We have also been told that his paper may also contravene election policies as he has included his address only as Bryn Hyfryd Caernarfon. This address (it seems) is incomplete as he has omitted to add that he actually lives in Bryn Hyfryd, Hendre Park (Which is on the Seiont Ward AND NOT Peblig!). Loads of you have complained that he may be trying to make people believe he lives on the Peblig ward and not Seiont.
In the past candidates have been ordered to reprint their papers and even lost their seats due to inaccuracies like this and Caernarfon Online will write to the Council's Monitoring Officer tomorrow to ask for clarification.
