Caernarfon Online Exclusive - New look at the Celtica Doc Fictoria
The New Celtica Retail shopping experience opens at Doc Fictoria Today! Caernarfon Online as always is first for news was there to see it all unfold as the new shop looks to put Caernarfon well and truly back on the map. The Doc Fictoria development has been a long time coming and despite some negative noises by the "same old - same old" crowd. The Dock is here and it's here to stay. Let us all make the most of it and progress!
Caernarfon needs to now embrace the whole concept or fall by the wayside. This new shop breathes life into a failing town, a town which has failed to produce again and again. At long last we can see a positive step in making our town the best in North Wales.
Love it or hate it the Dock has been a talking point in Caernarfon for quite a few years and looking back at the progress made we can only say well done Watkin Jones now come on Caernarfon lets move forward together!
With an extensive range of fine Jewellery including the well sought after Welsh Gold range, Healthy food stuffs from local producers, a fantastic art Gallery as well as goods from Ireland, Scotland and Landernau - Celtica offers just about everything.
Celtica Retail brings together the finest of
Welsh and Celtic goods including locally produced gifts, food and home ware.
A number of local
suppliers have already signed up to take advantage of the retail space
available at Celtica, and the management team are following up further leads.
There is also produce on sale from Brittany, building upon Caernarfon’s links
with its twin town Landernau; as well as produce from other Celtic countries
such as Scotland and Ireland.
Peter Gee, an
experienced retailer, has been appointed to head up the Senior Management Team.
He describes Celtica Retail as a unique shopping experience with a ‘gallery’
feel.
He added:“I am looking forward to working with local
suppliers and some of the very best producers from across Wales to provide
ongoing business opportunities here at Doc Fictoria. We are committed to
ensuring a unique shopping experience which can only add value to what is
currently on offer in Caernarfon.
The coffee shop and
delicatessen will also be strongly promoting local produce and sourcing the
best products available keeping food miles to a minimum
New transport and
signage links will operate between the Town Centre and Doc Fictoria which will
ensure that local shoppers, as well as visiting tourists, can appreciate the
new development as an integral part of Caernarfon. These are exciting times for
the economic development of Caernarfon – and I am proud to be a part of it”
