Brand New party to storm Gwynedd Elections!
A brand new political party is contesting all of the seats in Gwynedd! The new group called simply 'Against Everything That's Wrong in Gwynedd' has just released it's manifesto and it makes interesting reading. We have compiled a list of everything they stand for below and with big names ready to defect today and join the massive support, it looks likely that Gwynedd is in for a major upset at the polls!
In short these are the key reforms they are interested in.
1. Making sure ALL primary schools remain open, by introducing tolls on the Menai Suspension Bridge and Britannia Bridge to subsidise.
2. Having Caernarfon challenging Bangor as an University town with plans to build a 'state of the art' University on the site of the old Ferodo plant.
3. Removing Gwynedd's Welsh Language policy and introducing hard line mono language policies instead.
4. Insisting that any new business that sets up in Gwynedd has at least 50% of its work force (directly in contact with the general public) speaks Welsh.
5. Giving 'powers of arrest' to parking wardens if they are verbally or physically abused.
6. Stopping publicity seeking local concillors appearing in the press week in week out. If a paper has more than one photo of a local councillor in a single publication, or a certain councilor appears in (two) back to back editions then the paper and councillor will face an official tribunal.
7. All councillors forced to retire at 55 years of age, thus promoting a fresher face and raising public interest in the democratic vote.
8. Making Gwynedd a Free Parking zone, subsidising the loss in revenue by introducing a congestion charge similar to London. The charge would be called a 'visiting charge' and would in effect be charged on all incoming traffic, unless they can prove they live in the area.
9. To combat crime, plans would be made to install a CCTV camera on every home in Gwynedd, thus being able to account for everyone's movement. It is thought that one camera could cover around ten homes. Cost to be taken out of North Wales Police's Speed Camera funds.
10. Speed cameras to be removed from Gwynedd and radar reducers installed instead, these brand new state of the art radars would prevent cars travelling faster than the speed limit is hotspots.
The group already have a fantastic website uploaded and can be found on this link: (Click the link to view)
