MENAI COMMUNITY CLEAN UP

Just to prove how much he loathes litter, Caernarfon resident Dylan Jones and a group of volunteers are going out on Tuesday 29th July to get their hands dirty! They are tired of litter that is bringing down the reputation of Caernarfon and is a menace to locals, tourist and marine creatures and are sick of paying through the nose to get it cleaned up.

Dylan and his group will begin to tackle rubbish at Ala Las / Waterloo Port, Caernarfon on Tuesday 29th July at 10:00 and are hoping that as many volunteers as possible will come and join them with their clean up.

By their actions they are going to show Caernarfon how big a problem litter is and are encouraging people to come along and join in.

Dylan, 28 who is married to Llywela and lives in Tithebarn Street, Caernarfon was a Welsh Conservative candidate in May's local election told Caernarfon Online: " This clean up will show others that we care about the future of our environment and we are not prepared to live, work and play in an area that is blighted by rubbish. We must all work together to tackle the problem. Keep Wales Tidy and Gwynedd Council are supporting this campaign and it's up to groups like us to muck in and make the difference. Come along and bring your friends, the more the merrier"
