Jimmy Edwards (Friends of CTFC) with Councillors Huw Edwards and Roy Owen
Caernarfon Town FC supporters give a sigh of relief as Arnold fails to get his way.

A few months ago Caernarfon Online suggested that Town Councillor Arnold Bohana had made himself public enemy No1 as he wanted it recorded he was against giving Caernarfon Town Football Club £1,000 towards their floodlights appeal.
This week the council met to discuss the application and after a stormy debate it was put to the vote. The vote was FOR giving the donation!
Following a short article in the press, Caenrarfon Online has been flooded by complaints against the three councilors who voted against givng the money.
Obviously this is a democracy and they are entitled to their opinion, but to think that the town council recently paid well over £3,000 for leaflets which left out the brand new Doc Fictoria development, something is clearly amiss.
The three councilors who snubbed our football team.
Against the donation were Arnold, Anita and Tony
The three councillors were confirmed by the town clerk as being Councillor Arnold Bohana,Councillor Tony Yendal Williams and Councillor Anita Kirk.
The Town Clerk also confirmed that a recent article in the Herald was misleading as it had named Councillor Trefor Owen. We have been asked to set the record straight that Cllr Trefor Owen chose not to vote on the matter.
The result means that the club can now move forward and hopefully have their new floodlights installed.
(This was a requirement by the Welsh FA following directives by the European Football governing body).
Looking round Wales and the rest of the UK, we see that other town council's give considerably more to their local football teams every year. Hopefully this saga will now be at an end and next year CTFC can look forward to receiving help from all quarters.
Having a team in the Welsh League is important to the town and the development of football in the area. Otherwise we will never see the likes of Wyn Davies or Tommy Walley ever again.
Caernarfon Town FC will kick off the season with a new three man team at the helm and we at Caernarfon Online wish them all the best in the coming season.
Hopefully this will be the beginning of a new era as they try to improve on last year's league position.
