Travel Lodge confirm they are coming to Doc Fictoria.
Travel Lodge has confirmed they are spending £69.9 million on seven new branches across the UK.
Travelodge's latest enterprise adds 669 rooms
to its current portfolio and includes the acquisition of two hotels from the
Swallow Hotels chain and a further five hotels
Paul Harvey, property director for the organisation, said:
"We continue to actively seek and pursue new development and growth
opportunities and we are looking to open a further 4,000 new rooms in 2009."
Gwynedd Council tonight approved that a new hotel would be acceptable at Doc Fictoria Caernarfon. The new hotel will compete with The Premier Inn which recently opened in this new fast gowning area.
Some councillors raised the same concerns about parking problems in the area, but the plans were unanimously passed and work will begin shortly.
A second hotel is to be built at Porthmadog in Gwynedd.
