New water feature switched on
Shame there wasn't an official opening for our new water feature on the Maes, because it certainly deserves one.
Locals and visitors sent in their kids to play on a hot Wednesday in July. Some pride put back on the faces of locals as they enjoyed mixing with visitors having fun splashing around.
In the near future the new "fountain" will be the place where they honour one of Caernarfon's most famous men, Llewelyn Turner.
A plaque honouring the man who gave the Cofi's fresh water following the Cholera epidemic is in storage at the Institute building and CaernarfonOnline cannot think of a greater way to honour Sir Turner then to place the plaque on the Maes near this feature.

Benches have also been placed in front of the water feature which raises the question if the project has really been thought through properly. But for now, congratulations to everyone involved, (Even if we didn't get an official opening.)
