High tides caused chaos in town today as our Car Park attendants ensured cars were safe from the highest water levels seen in recent years.
The tide peaked at around 11am and further flooding is expected tonight at around 12am. The Harbour trust had no option but to close the carpark during the morning hours so that no damage was incurred, resulting in a big loss of revenue.
Further flooding is expected including high winds. The Harbour area and St Helen's road is a recognised flood plain which has been taken into consideration with the planned regeneration of the area.
Local photographers from around the area had a field day recording the event and if you have more amazing photos, then please send them in to us here at Caernarfon Online.
Here are some immediate response to our request, thanks for your input - keep them coming!
