Are you paying through your nose for Karate lessons?
"Karate Acadamy's" are setting up all over the UK promising the earth and charging customers (adults and children alike) WAIT FOR IT!
Around £60 per month to train in the martial arts!
This has been a concern for established instructors as it gives the impression that all clubs are the same.
Luckily this is clearly not the case in Gwynedd as in the Caernarfon area we are very lucky to have numerous clubs charging on average
only £3.50 per lesson.
One such club is Zanshin Shukokai Karate who offer their first lesson FREE so that newcomers can see for themselves the high standard at the club and participate in the knowledge that they are not requested to sign any contracts or pay by direct debit.
The Chief Instructor at the Caernarfon club is Gareth Edwards. He holds a 5th Dan in Shukokai Karate and is the highest graded instructor in the Shukokai living in Wales. He is head of The North Wales section of UKASKO - the largest all styles karate group in the UK.
Gareth was recently rewarded with a magnificent trophy for his service to karate and for the high standard of his club.
UKASKO Chief Instructor Roy Stanhope 8th Dan told Caernarfon Online.
"We are very lucky to have the services of Gareth here at UKASKO. In my opinion he is one of the top instructors in the UK and certainly held in high esteem by us here at UKASKO. The standard of his club is second to none and he offers affordable training at a time when people are counting their pennies. Indeed it's refreshing to see someone giving something to the community an not trying to line his pocket in the process."
He went on to say, "If people are currently training and paying vast amounts by direct debit, then they would be wise to try a free lesson at a Zanshin club, not only will they be better off financially, but they will immediately see a high standard of instruction which is reassuring in itself." "Students would be allowed to keep their current grade and if they are below par would be encouraged to remain at that grade until they improve to the standard required. In this way, their original training would not have been in vain. I would entourage anyone to give it a go as they have nothing to lose."
Zanshin have clubs at the following venues and all you have to do is turn up on any night for your free lesson.
As a special bonus students will have a free trip to Old Trafford this summer to have a behind the scenes look at the "Theatre of Dreams"
