Our MP's Expenses

The hot subject on the news at the moment is how much MP's have been claiming for expenses and paid for by  our hard earned money.

We can now give you the full list of expenses that has cause such a storm.

On our list (Click Here) we have included ALL Members of Parliament, but for your convenience we have highlighted the MP for Ynys Môn, Conwy and our very own Hywel Williams MP for Caernarfon.

Hywel Williams has claimed a staggering £165,765.00. We are not suggesting for one minute this is wrong, but it is an alarming amount to claim in expenses on top of wages. Mr Williams claimed £23,078.00 for his second home compared with £13.989 claimed by Betty Williams MP of Neighbouring Conwy.

Mr Williams' Office claim was a staggering £20,875.00 again a substantial amount compared with Betty Williams' £9,919. It goes on with claims of £6,007.00 for communications with Betty claiming a paltry £473.00. Of course not all of his claims were higher than Betty's but his end total was over £19,000 more than his neighbour.

The MP for Ynys Mon claimed a total of £142,138.00 compared with Hywel Williams' £165,765.00.

Other Examples of high ranking MP's include Ed Balls £155,526.00,  David Blunkett £147,572.00, Prime Minister Gordon Brown £124,454.00,  Tory Leader David Cameron  £148,829.00.

All as we all can see are claiming less than our MP Hywel Williams!
