Champion 103fm will be no more next momth.

Champion 103fm has taken Caernarfon by Heart for quite some years and now they are re-branding as just that from next month Champion 103 will become Heart Radio in a massive re-branding by the radio station.

TOBY ANSTIS IS THE NEW MID-MORNING VOICE AS CHAMPION 103 CHANGES TO “HEART” NEXT MONTH

TV and radio personality Toby Anstis will be the new the mid-morning voice as Champion 103 becomes the “Heart” of Anglesey and Gwynedd from Monday 22^nd June.

Toby is one of the UK’s best-loved commercial radio presenters and will host his show every weekday from 10am to 1pm.

Last month, Champion 103 announced a major investment in its local programming and marketing,  as part of a multi-million pound rebrand over the coming months, which will see the radio station become the "Heart" of Anglesey and Gwynedd. The change to the highly successful and popular Heart brand will bring ongoing investment by its new owner, Global Radio, into all programmes which will continue to provide the best music, local news, traffic and travel, hosted by presenters such as Kev Bach and Owain Llyr. Toby will be visiting on Friday 22^nd May – exactly a month before he hits the airwaves to see the area and meet the team. He’s the first well-known personality to be announced before Heart hits the airwaves on Monday 22^nd June. The full programme schedule will be released soon.

Toby Anstis made his name on television hosting BBC TV’s The Ozone and entertainment shows such as The Electric Circus on BBC1, as well as the National Lottery Live. In 2006, Toby hit the jungle in ITV1’s smash hit I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! which had record ratings of over 12 million viewers that year. He was recently part of the presentation team for BBC1’s Dancing in the Streets with Bruce Forsyth and Zoe Ball and voiced the live commentary for the show. He was also one of the judges on Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model.

Last year, Toby had the honour of hosting the World Premiere of Mamma Mia – The Movie in Central London with Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Julie Walters. Alongside his radio and TV work, Toby also spends time working as an Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust and is a keen swimmer and skier.

Toby Anstis will present the mid-morning show on Heart, Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm, from Monday 22^nd June 2009. Heart will be available on 103 FM and online.

He will be touring the North Wales coast promoting his new slot and Heart radio throughout the afternoon. He will be travelling to Caernarfon in a specially branded bus which people will see for miles.
