COUNCILLOR SUSPENSION
Llais Gwynedd’s group on
Gwynedd Council has temporarily suspended Gwilym Euros Roberts pending the
outcome of court proceedings instigated against the Blaenau Ffestiniog
councillor following an incident in the town at the week-end.
“We are shocked and extremely
saddened by these events,” said the Leader of the Llais Gwynedd group on the
Council, Councillor Owain Williams.
“Our most sincere sympathy is
extended to all concerned,” he added.
The Llais Gwynedd group has
elected Councillor Seimon Glyn to take over Gwilym Euros Roberts’ role as a
member of the Gwynedd Council Board and as holder of the Council’s Human
Resources Portfolio.
The newly-formed Llais
Gwynedd won 13 seats on Gwynedd Council in the Local Government Elections in
2008.
