A WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT WITH A STRONG WELSH FLAVOUR
FOOD AND CRAFT ADDED TO
THE FAENOL FESTIVAL MENU
30 June 2010
Bryn
Terfel today announced yet another new element to this year’s Faenol Festival
–a four day Food and Craft Festival that will showcase local produce, craftwork
and all things delicious from around Wales.
The Faenol Food and Craft Festival will be open to visitors
and festival goers from the 27 – 30 August. This new event showcasing local and
Welsh food and crafts is presented in association with Welsh Country Magazine.
It will include food and craft stalls and demonstrations throughout the
weekend, so whether visitors are looking to just enjoy browsing and sampling
the finest Welsh produce in addition to a wealth of music and stunning
Snowdonia scenery, it will be the perfect accompaniment to the Faenol bank holiday
weekend!
Bryn is also
delighted to announce that Waitrose will be supporting a food demonstration theatre
at the Food and Craft Festival running three sessions each day of the festival.
Each of these sessions will include cookery demonstrations featuring local food.
Explaining
the thinking behind the new dimension that will form a part of the 10th
Anniversary celebrations for the Festival Bryn said:
“I
love good music and I enjoy great food and wine – it’s a fantastic combination!
What better way to enjoy the August Bank holiday weekend than by sampling some
of Wales’s
gastronomic delights alongside the opportunity to listen to some of the world’s
finest artists in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
I’m
very grateful to Welsh Country Magazine for working with the Festival to
develop this element and of course to Waitrose for supporting the Food
Demonstration Theatre. I hope that people will come early, enjoy talks and
demonstrations at the Faenol Food and Craft Festival, sample some exquisite
produce, buy some wonderful Welsh food and craft and stay with us to enjoy some
great entertainment later that afternoon or evening. It’s a way of making the
Festival an all day event and ensuring that we keep Wales at the heart of this event.”
Waitrose Menai Bridge Manager, Gareth Hind
