Fascinating new crime statistics website online

Have you ever wondered what the Caernarfon crime figures are?
Well, now you can view them direct by logging on to the new service provided by the Police.uk website

To make life easy for you, here is a direct link to the site http://www.police.uk Just enter Caernarfon Gwynedd into the box and then click on the map and zoom in to view the Caernarfon hot spots.

The site recognises Rhes Segontium as the worst for anti social behaviour, followed by Bridge Street and then Pool Hill.

There are more detailed listings showing that during the month of December 2010 there were 6 burglaries, 67 anti social behaviours, 1 vehicle crime, 31 violent crimes and 42 listed as other crimes (which covers shoplifting, drug abuse and criminal damage).

All in all there were a 167 separate incidents of crime in Caernarfon during December. This compares a bit favourably to Bangor who recorded  273 crimes in total (but in fairness Bangor has a larger population).

Other towns recorded the following:

Llangefni 57, Holyhead 196, Porthmadog  44, Pwllheli 45, Felinheli 15, Conwy 56,  Colwyn Bay 157 and Llandudno 197.
