Join
your local library for a chance to win an iPad
Libraries across north Wales are introducing a new loyalty
card in a campaign to attract people into libraries to borrow books. This new initiative
will be launched on 4 February which is National Libraries Day, and will reward
one lucky loyal borrower with a fabulous prize of a brand new iPad.
By joining your local library, picking up a loyalty
card and borrowing books three times between 4 February and 23 April you could
win an iPad. The campaign is open to everyone, if you are already a member just
ask at your local library for a loyalty card.
Gwawr Eilian Williams, Gwynedd Council’s Community
Librarian and Libraries Promoter said:
“Libraries
can help transform people’s lives and reading can help reduce the stresses of
every day life. The more you read the sharper your mind becomes and the more
focused you become. Reading fiction can open up whole new worlds for you, and
reading factual books can better your knowledge. Your local library is here to
help you find those worlds and experiences.”
The aim
of the campaign is to get local people using their local library, to start
reading and to encourage people to become new members. All you have to do is
join the library from the 4 February and take home a minimum of three books on
three separate occasions before World Book Night on the 23 April to complete
your loyalty card - to be entered into the prize draw.
At the
end of the campaign, every loyalty card which has been completed will be
included in a raffle for a chance to win an iPad.
