Two Caernarfon Eye sores to be Knocked Down?

Caernarfon Online understands that two buildings which have been a major concern for the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon are to be demolished with planning applications to be made for a brand new Homebargains to be built in their place.

Caernarfon Online reported a few years ago that the management of the Celtic Royal Hotel were unhappy with the conditions of the two buildings opposite the hotel, stating that it was having a negative effect on the tourism trade in the area.

The former ATS garage which some of you may remember as being called the Red Garage on Bangor Street and the old Prince of Wales Hotel are both been earmarked for demolition in favour of building the new store on the edge of town.

More on this as we receive it, This is exciting news of Caernarfon, when such a large store is showing an interest in  town. The empty buildings have been boarded up for quite some time and have been on the open market with no takers.

All attempts made to receive more information on this from official sources have proved to be futile. So more on this as we receive it.

Here is the article we ran back in 2010
