Andrea Bocelli needs no introduction. The World famous tenor visits the Faenol for the first time and the concert was sold out weeks ago.

He was born on September 22, 1958, in Lajatico, in the Toscan countryside near Volterra. Partially sighted from birth, he was totally blinded in a football game when he was 12years old. Andrea said "The region's traditions, as well as my parents' influence have taught me never to accept life's difficulties in a passive way, but rather to draw strength from them."

This positive frame of mind has seen Andrea reach the heights others can only dream of.

"As far as I can remember, no moments in my life have gone by without being filled with passion for music. Italy's greatest tenors, such as Del Monaco, Gigli, and especially Corelli, have always inspired great admiration and enthusiasm in me since I was just a boy. In love with opera, the dream and ambition of my whole life is to become a great tenor."

The evening included arias, duets, and trios from La Traviata, The Magic Flute, Louise, Cavelleria Rusticana, The Pearl Fishers, Tosca, Giuditta, and Kiss Me Kate. The concert also features Sinfonia Cymru with Gareth Jones conducting.

The Orchestra started things off with an Oveture by Mozart followed by Bryn performing 'Madomina' from a Don Giovani Opera.

Erin Wall the World renown Canadian - American Soprano sang 'Ach Ich Fhul' by Mozart.

Bryn And Erin sang the duets 'Bei Mannern' by Mozart taken from the 'Magic Flute' and 'Au Fond Du Temple Saint' from 'Pearl Fishers'

A duet taken from the 'Pearl Fishers' (by Bizet) was performed by Bryn And Andrea.

Andrea Bocclli sang 'Viva il Vino Supumeggiante' from 'Cavalleria Rusticana'

The trio sang the Sartori composition 'Time To Say Goodbye'. Andrea had sang this with Sarah Brightman in November 1996.

The evening ended with the trio singing encores to the obvious delight of the packed audience.

To top it all off a fabulous firework display gave all present a night to remember.
