As President of Festivals of Wales, it is my pleasure to introduce you to the new website of 2005. As we begin the new Millennium, it is marvellous to see such a wealth of diversity and artistic merit within festivals throughout Wales, which continue to build audiences for the future. As you will see there is a busy season ahead, and a huge range of events to choose from.

From the major national event that is the National Eisteddfod of Wales, to community festivals such as the Maindee Community Festival in Newport, poetry readings, craft events and storytelling, there really is something to suit everyone.

I send my best wishes to you and all festivals in Wales, and invite you to join in the festive fun in 2005.
