Lessons to learn!

Over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend Llandudno was packed to the rafters with visitors! Parking was impossible streets were full and everyone had a wonderful time. Colwyn Bay was the same, you couldn't get more people there if you tried.

A well organised Transport Festival  weekend saw the magnificent 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' on display in the middle of Mostyn Street as the streets was closed from one end to the other exclusively for the festival. Excellent street entertainers, a Victorian feel, Stilt walkers, Fire eaters, Magicians and masses and masses of Fun Fair goodies transformed Llandudno into a theme park that was the envy of other towns. Thousands upon thousands visited and locals shops did a roaring trade.

Colwyn Bay held two festivals on different days, the first on the streets of the town and the other on the Promenade. Both were a tremendous success as thousands of people visited over the weekend.

So why can't the town of Caernarfon do something like this? I'll tell you why, because the wrong people are in control and bickering over silly little things such as who paid for a buffet. Add this to their own inability to achieve anything in the past, it seems that because they have failed, they don't want anyone else to succeed. Don't they realise that by holding their personal little agendas and vendettas they are holding the town back?

At Caernarfon locals are getting used to being disappointed, 100% Caernarfon disappeared as quickly as it arrived. It came with a bang promising everything and left with a whimper delivering nothing. Why? Well simply because councillors and officials are playing a stupid little game of 'getting one over' on one another. The idea was ok, but it lacked proper leadership and support.
The Caernarfon Chamber of Trade are slowly making progress with newly designed Town Guides and also erecting Welsh Flags over the holiday periods thus brightening up the town. They have been working with support from the Town Council, proving that things can be done. But it seems they too are being attacked instead of supported, with the press being as guilty as the rest of them!!!

I, (like many of you) am fed up to the back teeth of all this nonsense and we should all sort it out by working together for the good of the town. May I suggest that if it continues then we should all vote a little bit wiser next time round!!!

This month we have even seen two 'Labour' town councillors slating the work that this website does for the town!!! Couldn't see a good thing when it stares them in the face....
Perhaps they should look at their own 'Mission Statement' and take a serious look at what they themselves are doing (or not doing) for the town?

I say - Enough of this stupid bickering and take a lesson from Llandudno and Colwyn Bay

While we are arguing, other towns are getting on with it!
Lets have people supporting the good things in town.
Our children have to live here after us and the mess we make today, they have to deal with tomorrow!

The Caernarfon townsfolk are sick to death of 'pie in the sky', 'hair-brained', 'fairy tale' schemes that will never take off, they are sick to death of nothing being delivered and they are sick to death of knife stabbing by people who should know better.
Over the last year I have seen this done far too often and done by silly people who then expect support themselves!

Caernarfon is a small town with a lot going for it, but we will never get there because of these people.

Take a look at our photos below to see what can be done and judge for yourself.

If Llandudno and Colwyn Bay can do all this then so can we! but first of all we need to get rid of all the nonsense that's going on in town. If you were at Llandudno or Colwyn Bay this weekend then you will understand what I mean.

A message to the those who have lost the plot!
To all you lot (and you know who you are) I send you this message. Grow up before it's too late for the town. If all you want to do is stop others working then push off to another town, we don't want you here! Come on Caernarfon you know I'm right and you know who I'm taking about.....

Here are the photos of Llandudno and Colwyn Bay which were taken this weekend, included at the bottom of this page are three photos taken at Caernarfon on May Day Bank Holiday........Enuff Said!!!
