Entering the stage Jamie
showed how good his Welsh was as he told the
crowd : "O, mae'n oer!" (Oh its cold!).
Playing his treasured
Yamaha Grand Piano he played a Jazzy repertoire including
songs from his latest album Twenty Something. Starting
off with 'I Get a Kick Out of You' and 'What a Differentce
a Day Makes' he moved on to sing the title track of
his album.
With Jack Gasgoine accompanying
on Bass he went on to sing 'These are the Days ' which
was written by his brother Ben. The crowd really
appreciated 'Frontin' in which he started his legendary
piano tapping routine. He closed the set with a song
from My Fair Lady entitled 'I Could Have Danced all
Night' which has had great exposure on the radio over
the last year.
For the encore Jamie
told the crowd that tonight would be one of the last
times he would be playing this particular set as the
next tour would have material from his next album. He
asked the Welsh crowd "Is it - Noswaith Dda?"
Is it Good Night? - which received a roar of approval.
His last song for the
evening was 'The Wee Small Hours of the Morning'.
