The rain failed to keep the crowds away as around 10,000 people braved the elements in this years opera extravaganza!

Following the sell-out success of the Opera Gala in 2003, this year's concert promised to be a must for opera-lovers and it didn't disapoint! Continuing the Festival's tradition of presenting outstanding young talent, Bryn wss delighted to introduce the outstanding Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja, alongside the young Swedish mezzo-soprano Malena Erman, the Italian soprano Desiree Rancatore, as well as the young violinist Chloe Hanslip.
In addition he was delighted to welcome his baritone colleague from the international opera stage, Simon Keenleyside.
The concert was accompanied by Wales' outstanding young ensemble, Sinfonia Cymru, under their musical director Gareth Jones
